Article L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code
Refund Policy.
Last updated: 18 May 2026. This Refund Policy describes the rights of Zzair7 customers to receive a refund. It applies to all purchases on zzair7.com worldwide. EU/EEA consumers also benefit from the right of withdrawal under Article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code; nothing in this policy reduces those statutory rights.
1. Statutory right of withdrawal (EU/EEA).
EU and EEA consumers benefit from a 14-day right of withdrawal under Articles L.221-18 to L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code and EU Directive 2011/83/EU. You may withdraw from the purchase without giving any reason within 14 calendar days from the day the goods are delivered.
To exercise this right, send an unambiguous statement (email is sufficient) to support@zzair7.com before the 14-day period expires. The model withdrawal form set out in Annex I.B of the French Consumer Code may be used (we are happy to email a copy on request).
Upon receipt of a valid withdrawal notice and the returned goods, Zzair7 will reimburse all payments received, including standard outbound shipping, within 14 days using the original payment method. If the goods have not been received back at the warehouse before the 14-day refund period elapses, Zzair7 may delay the refund until either the goods are received or the customer provides evidence of return shipment.
2. Eligible for full refund.
- Sealed/unopened kits returned within 14 days of delivery (EU/EEA consumers — 14 days statutory; rest of world — 14 days by Zzair7 policy)
- Items damaged in transit, evidenced by photograph within 7 days of delivery
- Defects in conformity discovered within the 2-year statutory warranty period (Article L.217-3 of the French Consumer Code). Note: the cordless drill motor benefits from a 24-month manufacturer warranty in addition to the statutory warranty.
- Orders cancelled by Zzair7 before shipment
- Orders returned to Zzair7 because of customs rejection, mis-addressed delivery attempted, or carrier loss
- Orders where the wrong item was shipped by Zzair7
3. Not eligible for refund.
- Opened kits returned solely for change of mind, on grounds of hygiene (gloves, tape rolls) and consumption (sandpaper, screws, lubricant)
- Items showing visible signs of professional or commercial-grade use beyond consumer testing
- Damage caused by misuse, improper installation, or violation of the printed safety guidance accompanying each kit
- Returns initiated after 30 days from delivery (except statutory warranty claims)
- Items that have been modified by the customer (custom paint, drilling, soldering, etc.)
- Returns of digital downloads, services, or gift cards
4. Partial refunds.
Zzair7 may issue a partial refund only where you have used the goods beyond what was necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and proper functioning, in accordance with Article L.221-23 of the French Consumer Code. The reduction reflects only the demonstrable loss of value, not a percentage chosen at our discretion. The cases where a partial refund may apply include:
- Items returned with obvious signs of use beyond reasonable inspection (heavy scratches, residue, wear)
- Items returned without their original packaging or accompanying accessories
- Kits returned with one or more pieces missing
- Items returned more than 14 but less than 30 days after delivery, where no statutory right applies
5. Return shipping cost.
Where the return arises from a Zzair7 fault (wrong item, manufacturing defect, transit damage), Zzair7 covers the return shipping cost in full and provides a prepaid label.
Where the return arises from buyer’s choice (statutory withdrawal, change of mind), the customer is responsible for the return shipping cost, as expressly permitted by Article L.221-23 of the French Consumer Code, unless the goods are too bulky to ship by post in which case Zzair7 offers an at-cost collection service.
6. Refund processing timeline.

7. Refund methods.
Refunds are always issued to the original payment method:
- Credit/debit card → refund to the same card
- Apple Pay / Google Pay → refund to the underlying card on file
- SEPA direct debit → refund to the same bank account
- Bank transfer / pre-launch demo orders → refund to the originating bank account by SEPA transfer
Zzair7 does not refund to a different payment method, account, or third party, except where required by law.
8. Defective and damaged-in-transit items.
If a tool fails within the 2-year statutory warranty period (Article L.217-3 of the French Consumer Code) under normal household use, Zzair7 will repair, replace, or refund the affected item at our discretion, in compliance with the statutory warranty of conformity (Articles L.217-3 and following of the French Consumer Code) and the latent defects warranty (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code).
To file a defect claim, email support@zzair7.com within 12 months of delivery with: (1) order number; (2) photo of the defect; (3) one-sentence description of how the failure occurred. Zzair7 generally does not require the defective item to be returned; we use the photo evidence to flag manufacturing batches with the supplier.
Items damaged in transit must be reported with photo evidence within 7 days of delivery. Zzair7 covers replacement or refund in full, including shipping in both directions.
9. Power tools (Drill & Drive Kit).
The cordless drill in the Drill & Drive Kit (SKU A-06) carries an extended manufacturer’s warranty:
- Motor: 24 months from delivery (in addition to the 2-year statutory warranty of conformity)
- Battery packs: 6 months from delivery (Li-Ion cell degradation excluded)
- Charger and accessories: 12 months from delivery
Once a power tool has been used, returns are limited to defective units only. Buyer’s-remorse returns of opened power tools are not accepted, in line with hygiene and resale-as-new constraints.
10. How to start a return.
Email support@zzair7.com with:
- Order number (visible in your shipping confirmation email)
- Item(s) you are returning
- One-sentence reason
- If applicable, photographs of damage or defect
You will receive a return shipping label (where applicable) and instructions within one business day.
11. Dispute resolution & chargebacks.
If you are not satisfied with the resolution of your refund claim, you may:
- Escalate the claim to our management by emailing hello@zzair7.com
- Approach a French consumer mediator (centre de médiation de la consommation) at no cost
- Use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
- Initiate proceedings in the courts of Toulouse, France (or, for EU consumers, the courts of your country of residence)
We strongly recommend at least one round of direct communication with Zzair7 before initiating a credit card chargeback, as the latter incurs an additional dispute fee that ultimately raises prices for all customers. Genuine grievances will always be addressed in good faith.
